Urinal®

Urinal®

PREVENTION of Urinary tract infection for LONG TERM USAGE

Urinal® contains a unique combination of cranberry substances - NutriCran®, Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) dried juice concentrate extract, and CystiCran®, highly- concentrated Vaccinium macrocarpon extract, and newly also extract of Solidago virgaurea (Goldenrod) and Vitamin D. In vitro testing has demonstrated the anti-adherence e ect of urine on uropathogenic bacteria after consumption of cranberry products. Cranberries are a rich source of bioflavonoids, phenolic compounds and other natural substances.

The amount of cranberry extracts in the maximum daily dose (3 capsules) corresponds to at least 57 300 mg of cranberry fruit. Solidago virgaurea contributes to the normal function of the bladder and lower urinary tract and helps maintain a healthy urinary tract. Vitamin D supports the normal function of the immune system. Urinal® can be used along with antibiotics.

Effects:

  1. In vitro anti-adherence e ect of urine
on uropathogenic bacteria after consumption of cranberry products
  2. Goldenrod contributes to normal urinary elimination functions
  3. Goldenrod helps to maintain a healthy bladder and lower urinary tract
  4. Vitamin D supports the normal function of the immune system

URINAL® = Each soft gelatinous capsule contains a unique combination of cranberry substances: NutriCran®: Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) dried juice concentrate extract: 200 mg. CystiCran®: Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) highly concentrated cranberry extract: 3 mg.

Anti-in ammatory e ect during the in ammatory processes [16]

• URINAL® (cranberry) Inhibit pro-in ammatory cytokine and chemokine expression in adipocytes, reducing the in ammatory process induced via oxidative stress in adipose tissue[16].
• Preventive e ects of URINAL® (CRANBERRY) on induced experimental colitis[17] with a current report suggests that cranberries can be used to prevent and reduce the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)[17].

For the intra-abdominal infections

• Anti-invasive activity [12].
• A study results revealed that cranberry alone reduced extra-intestinal pathogenic E. coli (ExPEC) invasion by 80.8% relative to control by increasing ExPEC agglutination and decreasing ExPEC invasion of epithelial cells[12].
• In conjunction with antibiotic treatment bene cial in eradicating Helicobacter pylori infections[22].
• Two-week consumption of cranberry reduces the overall numbers of E. coli in the intestines without a ecting intestinal ora & normal commensal bacteria [5].

For the respiratory tract infections

Consumption of URINAL® signi cantly enhances human -T cell function & proliferation in the epithelium rst line of defense and reduces the number of symptoms associated with colds and in uenza [6] [7].

In general

- Synergy between the antibiotic and the cranberry compound in killing the bacteria [10].
- URINAL® interferes with bacterial virulence mechanisms [4].
- Anti-bio lm properties of cranberry URINAL® against pathogenic bacteria [3] [21] [22].
- Proved Antiviral activity (against Herpes simplex virus HSV 1 & 2 and cold & u viruses) [28].
